One Malaysia and One Defense

During last LIMA, Tun Mahathir suggested that the South Asian countries make an agreement to control their asset of weapons. The weapon purchased by neighbor that seems keeps competing with one another.

My personal opinion, such statement showed that Malaysia is losing in the weapon race. The style of Malaysia only to buy the latest weapon in small quantity as to update their inventory as modern as the develop country. But when economy was hit by crisis, modernization of the military is being slowed down and even it totally stop in one of three services.

Plus the rendering by Defense Minster that our Migs need to stop their operational because the price of spare parts set by local partner was very high that the cost is irrelevant.

Well that’s only one of our strategic assets. Who knows other more?

Maybe the current minister should do the right thing by not modernizing the current asset but go through the policy of current inventory and eliminate these entire epidemic which currently investing our military.

Therefore this effort should be called the policy of "One Defense"

Hey, you do not have the money spent anyway, right?

Gripen Vs Mig OVT

Gripen

Mig OVT:

p/s I still prefer Mig's to guard our skies..

Say good-bye to Mig-29N

It is Shock to hear that the mig going to retire. Maybe it is time to move on, the air force need more modern aircraft fighters such as…. Gripen?

Who knows? Checkout the video on Gripen.

p/s I m wonder about the fire weapons... if we buy Gripens could we have the thrust worthy missile as used with Migs such as R77?

ACMS- Singapore Third Generation Infantry

The infantry's equipments are:
Personal Radio - The radio enables soldiers to share information, in the form of data and voice, with other soldiers. It has a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS) that helps the soldier's command headquarters to track his location and that of friendly forces.

Communication Keypad - This portable keypad, designed for easy data input, also has hotkey buttons such "On-Contact" and "Call-For-Medic" to enable quick updates of the team's status to the command headquarters, and request assistance from nearby forces at the push of a button.

Portable Computer - The brain of the ACMS, the portable computer processes data collected by sensors, GPS, other ACMSs and user input to provide real-time information updates on the battlefield.

Head-mounted display (HMD) - The HMD can switch its displays from a digital map to satellite images of the terrain to videos captured by the various sensors. Through the HMD, soldiers can see locations of targets and friendly forces which are plotted on the digital map.

Weapon Interactor - The section commander will also have an additional camera attached to his SAR 21, so that he can capture and send back images to the command headquarters through the quick buttons on the handguard. The sensor also allows him to survey and fire around corners without exposing himself.
In addition to the ACMS, soldiers are equipped with remote sensors such as a surveillance ball, a remote-control surveillance car and a key-hole sensor.

Deploying the ACMS
In each seven-man section, the section commander as well as two team leaders will be equipped with the ACMS. This allows the entire section to function as part of a larger network and tap on the wider resources of the battalion and call for more responsive and precise fire support

Pendekar PT-91 M-part 1

Above is PT-91E a export version of PT91, renamed from Pendekar prototype.

Pendekar or warrior is the name of Malaysia's PT91M. Such tank is selected because of its upgrade capability by the army which to ensure its effectiness in today's modern warfare.

Armor
Different approach with western tank armor which is made from Chobham armor, PT91 is equiped by 394 blocks of ERA( Explosive Reactive Armor) to denoting any direct hit anti tank missile.

According from Polish Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU), their ERAWA can provide such proctection:

1)95 to 100 per cent protection against HEAT projectiles of the low piercing type (300 to 350 mm) such as the RPG-7

(2)65 to 70 per cent protection against HEAT projectiles and rockets of the medium piercing type (460 to 600 mm) such as the AT-4 anti-tank weapon or 125 mm BK-14M HEAT projectile

(3)90 to 100 per cent protection against EFP (Explosive Formed Projectiles) with a calibre of 100 mm

(4)Full resistance against detonation after being hit by low and medium calibre ammunition, hand and mortar grenade fragments.

(5) Full resistance against detonations caused by the burning of high temperature (up to 3,000° C) materials such as napalm.

Transmission
The ESM350 is a high performance transmission developed and volume manufactured by SESM for retrofits of T-72/T-90 type vehicles. With a power range from 600 to 850kW, it features eight speeds forward and 3 speeds reverse, an infinitely superimposed steering system and a high performance braking system. It is suitable for T-72/T-90 new series as well as for upgrading program. The integration process is very easy and preserves the original silhouette of the vehicle.(1)

Technical characteristics:

Powerpack design especially for T-72 vehicles and derivates

Manual and fully automatic power shifting

Mechanical emergency gear shift system

Electronically controlled automatic start-up clutch

Infinitely variable hydrostatic superimposed steering system

Scorpene

Peluang sedemikian sering kali terlewat diambil kesempatan. Kita sepatut mencontohi India sebagaimana usaha mereka dalam video dibawah.

Berikut adalah spefikasi Scorpene:
Specifications

Crew 31

Dimensions

Overall Length 63.5m
Draught 5.4m
Submerged Displacement 1,590t
Surface Displacement 1,450t
